This is a great question. I paid a professional groomer $125.00 to groom my German shepherd. He had a thick coat and he was imported from Czechoslovakia. He was an awesome dog but sometimes I didn’t have time to groom him, so I hired a professional to bathe and brush him out.
I will say it was a great experience. I learned a lot from the lady I hired. She did awesome work and I decided to let her groom him a few times a year, as a special treat. He was happy to go there he just loved getting brushed out and bathed. He was a great temperament German Shepherd dog.

Now keep in mind this is how professional groomers do it. But like anything else, every dog groomer has a way of grooming dogs and it could be different depending on each groomer.
